We stand behind our work!
The following describes our guarantee.
For work done at our location
When your device leaves our shop, the issue(s) for which we were called will have been corrected. If we find another issue during the course of our work which lies outside of the original scope of work, we will notify you before taking any action to correct it. If you give us permission, we will correct any additional issues.
Any parts will carry the manufacturer’s warranty. We may warranty some parts ourselves and will let you know if this is the case.
Once your device leaves our shop, we have no control over what happens to it and cannot be held responsible for damage caused by the customer, customer’s family, friends and associates, neglect, improper use, abuse, or issues that were not within the original agreed scope of work (i.e. you call us to remove a virus, then your hard drive dies after you take it home).
Malware is a constant threat and it only takes one wrong click on a link or visit to a rogue website to catch a virus. Because of this, we warranty malware removal for 1 day. Rest assured, if you call us for malware removal, your device will be clean and malware free when it leaves our shop.
Any other issue will be corrected under warranty for 30 days as long as it lies within the original scope of work and is found to be an error on our part after examining the device.
We do teach computer and smartphone lessons which can help you get your email, configure your device, etc.
However, there is an additional charge for lessons. As such, while we don’t mind giving a little bit of reasonable advice to our repair customers, we are not obligated to teach you how to use your device free of charge just because we repaired it. When you take your vehicle to a mechanic, you wouldn’t ask him to give you driving lessons after repairing it.
Here are some tips to help you avoid issues:
- Shut the laptop down completely when transporting it from one location to another
- Don’t shut down the PC improperly (i.e. don’t hold power button down to turn off)
- Be careful of links you click and websites you visit
- Do not bounce the device around during transportation from one location to another
- Be sure anyone else who uses your device has some basic understanding of computers, the Internet, and potential security issues
- Backup your device to help prevent data loss
